It's official! My short story "The Veil Beyond the Veil," originally published in the April 2002 issue of Realms of Fantasy, has squeaked onto the preliminary ballot for the 2002 Nebula Awards. The thirteen short stories will be whittled down to five later this winter for the final ballot, so stay tuned for further news.
My short story "The Day Pietro Coppino Spoke to the Mountain" has just sold to Realms of Fantasy and will appear in a yet-to-be-announced issue. Bill read an earlier draft of this story on Jim Freund's Hour of the Wolf broadcast last August on WBAI in New York City. For a preview, tune in to the audio stream.
