Dubious writing advice of the week

Apocalyptic manuscript-formatting wisdom gleaned from the Web:

If these guidelines are not followed exactly, the manuscript will be rejected unread.  That's a rule of the business; whether it is a novel, short story or article.  [more]
And Bob's your uncle. A manuscript in 10pt Courier probably is the better choice, but using Times Roman certainly won't get you rejected out of hand.
