Laura and I were so gratified that the gay community in New York turned out to celebrate in the streets on the occasion of our first anniversary. But when the Brazilians started showing up too, we were just overwhelmed. Thanks, everybody!

It was a swell day, really. First we hit the new MoMA QNS, during the free admission period. Then we took the 7 to Times Square and had lunch at John's Pizzeria. At 3:00, we saw Into the Woods with Vanessa Williams and John McMartin. Then it was down the the Village, the heart of the day's celebration, for cold sake and a huge plate of sushi and sashimi at Yama.
