Congratulations to my friend Geoff Landis, SF writer and NASA scientist, who has been chosen along with 27 other researchers to participate in the 2003 Mars Exploration Rover (MER) Mission:
Geoff participated in the Pathfinder mission, and even named one of the rocks near the landing site. He's won the Hugo and Nebula, too, so if he wasn't such a nice guy we'd all have to hate him.
