Two Paths in the Forest Toulemonde

Originally published in Science Fiction Age, January 1994, under the name D. William Shunn.

Childhood sweethearts Étienne and Marie wandered one day into the dark and magical forest near their village and were never heard from again. But there are two paths through the forest Toulemonde, and if they're careful Étienne and Marie might at least find each other again.
